Kate Longhurst is one of the most established stars in women’s domestic football, having until recently held the title of being the most capped Women’s Super League player of all time. She has amassed a massive 182 appearances playing in the premier football league.

Kate has been playing top-flight football as a midfielder since 2009 when she joined Watford as a 20-year-old. She has since gone on to play for Chelsea with one of her highlights being scoring the Blues’ second goal on the 101st minute of the 2012 FA Cup Final.

The Hammers joined the WSL that season with Kate scoring the club’s first-ever goal in the division during a season where the East London side would reach the Women’s FA Cup final.

Kate’s five-year stint at West Ham came to an end in 2023 and in her final appearance for The Hammers, she equalled the league's all-time appearance record in her 182nd game in the WSL.

Charlton Athletic announced the signing of Kate in July 2023 as co-captain, in a season where The Addicks narrowly missed out on promotion to the WSL by a single point. Longhurst then moved to Nottingham Forest in the Northern Premier Division.
